Team Lead of Infrastructure Platforms (all genders)

The mission has started. We proudly announce that in our Battery Valley we are starting our own battery cell production and the ramp up of our worldwide headquarters for global cell manufacturing. In this, the tasks and requirements of the unit Information Technology are varied. IT takes care all matters relating to information technology, i.e. electronic data processing. The responsibilities vary from IT-infrastructure to digitization of the organization to the operational use of electronic data processing throughout the organization.

Your role and key responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT infrastructure platforms, ensuring the availability, performance and reliability of local data rooms, server & storage systems, core networks, DB & Middleware and service management.
• Planning, coordinating, and implementing IT infrastructure platforms, as well as developing infrastructure platform strategies, technology standards and policies.
• Establishing and maintaining processes for capacity planning, monitoring and forecasting of IT Infrastructure Platforms
• Oversee the design, implementation and maintenance of the organization's IT Infrastructure Platforms including life-cycle management
• Develop and implement procedures for operations and service management across IT Infrastructure Platforms
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies, regulations and industry regulations
• Leading a technical team across various infrastructure platforms, provide guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high performance and professional development
• Conduct regular assessments of IT Infrastructure Platforms to identify vulnerabilities and implement solutions for improvement.
• Planning and maintaining the IT Service Continuity Management for Infrastructure Platforms
• Planning resources, including budget management and cost control for the infrastructure platform environment
• Strategic planning, forecasting and steering of multiple locations
• Develop, improve and share operational best practices across multiple locations
• Implementing and maintaining security protocols and access controls to safeguard sensitive platform infrastructure and data

What you bring to the team

• Bachelor or Master ´s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field
• 8-10 years of IT Infrastructure and system engineering experience in a 24/7 data center & network environment
• Several years of experience in IT infrastructure technologies (e.g., Servers / Storage / DB / Middleware / IAM)
• 3-5 years’ experience leading teams
• Experience with enterprise scale infrastructure
• Detailed knowledge of ITIL and service management processes
• Able to present technical information clearly to a non-technical audience
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• IT Risk management in an operational environment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English & German

What makes you stand out

• Effective project management and facilitation skills
• 5+ years of cumulative experience with information technology infrastructure domains such as compute server platforms, storage server platforms, server components, network devices and cabling best practices
• Appropriate IT Security and Safety awareness
• Capacity planning and budgetary experience.
