Production mechanic for textiles

Production mechanics for textiles set up the fully or partly automated production machines and equipment in the textile industry. They put them into operation, monitor, maintain, service and repair them and organize the material flow.

What conditions do I have to meet?

• good secondary school certificate (Hauptschulabschluss)
• good grades in German and Mathematics
• interest in technical developments
• mechanical and technical understanding
• team ability

What does the training look like?

• duration of training: 3 years
• work in the weaving department
• setup, operation and maintenance of production machinery and equipment
• monitoring of process operations
• assigning and handling of materials, operating materials and auxiliaries
• applying design techniques
